Christine Mazza has been freelancing for 30 years, performing for weddings, parties, receptions and resorts. She has a varied repertoire of popular, ethnic, folk and classical music. She also teaches harp at West Virginia University.

She is principal harpist with the Johnstown Symphony, the West Virginia Symphony, and the Fairmont (W.Va.) Symphony. Mrs. Mazza performs regularly with the Pittsburgh Opera, the Wheeling Symphony, the West Virginia Symphony in Charleston, and Westmoreland Symphony. Past credits include the New Jersey Symphony, the Cleveland Opera Orchestra, and the Cincinnati Ballet. Mrs. Mazza has performed in stage orchestras for Sammy Davis Jr., Barry Manilow, Gladys Knight, Bernadette Peters, and Mannheim Steamroller, as well as several off-Broadway productions.

Mrs. Mazza is co-founder and performer of the 278 Strings duo with Pianist Carol Beall. She performs regularly for schools and hospitals through the West Virginia Commission on the Arts and is featured in the Arts in Education Program. She is also founder and director of the Morgantown Harp Ensemble.

Christine Mazza studied harp with Alice Chalifoux at the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she received her Master’s Degree in Harp Performance. Mrs. Mazza resides in Morgantown, WV with her husband and two sons.
